Uncle Frank and thread,

This is the latest news about Kodak.

"Kodak CEO Fisher to be replaced by Carp"

cbs.marketwatch.com

I patched this together from the corresponding Wall Street Journal report...

Mr. Fisher...a former Motorola Inc. CEO widely hailed as the right man to revive Kodak six years ago...leaves with that job partially done. During his tenure, Kodak has become solidly profitable again, with earnings of $1.39 billion last year. The company has so far failed to achieve his goal of finding success in film-less digital imaging, which is widely expected to be the successor to the traditional photography market Kodak dominates.

"Main Street" seems to be leading to a dead-end for Kodak.
