If this is the case, I agree with this, it seems that one requirment for ASP's to prosper are suitable applications to "provide". This seems to open a new area for applications development, too. Instead of enterprise software companies that target huge corporations, vendors that aim at small to medium-sized businesses. I know that there is a demand, but as far as I know, the applications have never materialized. Does the internet change the economics enough so that this situation won't continue?
