Domestic @Home uses its own porthole which everyone avoids or they will be using Excite! which everyone will avoid. I guess if you buy based on Java applets, then you'll buy that kind of hype. People don't want a canned repertoire. They want to put together what suits them. Please don't quote the mesmerized masses of AOL and their preferences. They'll all change once their friends are doing something else. Many took AOL because it was the only ISP supporting chat. How does that grab you as a Madison Avenue research finding? Do you want @Home's eight member team of experts separating off what they know is good for you? This is a major mistake of ATHM and it smells like Jermo. I read that swill about the glorification of Jermo around headquarters. They may love him there, but watch how fast the guy is phased out. Not that his replacement is any better. Fortunately who is in charge doesn't matter. This is the one dividend that comes from having an AAPL-like corporate culture.
