>If you use DeltaTrader - Preferred Capital Markets, real time option quotes are integrated in their trading application. And their options commissions are the lowest around. Does anybody know of a better/cheaper broker for options and stocks? - GeorgeCC

Many times one gets what they pay for as this was the basis for my opening an account with PC - and their seeming total and complete lack of caring about their customers is why I have just closed it.

If one is going to do a few options trades then PC MIGHT be OK but I do not recommend trying to use them for anything else.

Twice they hit my account with a Reg T - and twice it was their mistake, not mine. But the problem is that when this is brought to their attention and they acknowledge it, their software does not allow them to clear it until midnight.

It seems NOTHING is done in their program until midnight each night - meaning that unlike most of their compitition your account is not updated in realtime.

IMO, this in and of itself is not acceptable but their attitude about suggestions to update there program was met with, "This is the way we have done if for 5 years and it has worked." Shows a management that really does not care about his customers or his competitive edge in the industry.

The second Reg T was last Wednesday - I talked to one of their agents about what I needed to do to close the account - - no trading for three days and then I could close the account by having a check sent to me or wiring the funds. Was told they would need to HAVE IN WRITING the request to do so.

I opened an account with another broker and waited until yesterday to have funds wired into it. When I contacted PC to do so I found out my account had been closed and a check mailed to me - NO VERBAL OR WRITTEN REQUEST TO DO SO!

When I requested to talk to Admin about the problem I was told I could not do so. I requested to talk with a supervisor and was told they could do nothing to help.

ONE CAN NOT EVEN FIND OUT WHO THE OWNERS/MANAGERS OF THE COMPANY ARE IN ORDER TO WRITE!

Today, instead of being able to trade, I sit waiting for the check to arrive, which may not be until Monday.

In short, I would be very careful before sending them my money in the future.
