I think I have to disagree. Any and all date comparisons beyond 2000 have been going on for years, even in non-compliant systems. (Probably even in COBOL). Using this logic, there is no Y2K problem.
I believe the problem starts when systems roll over to "00". Then dates derived and dependent on the interpretation of the current date can run into trouble.
JMHO. If you have data refuting this I'd love to see it.
