Peter, Desktop TV is a product that STB developed well before the merger with 3dfx was even talked about. It's a stand alone PCI board that works with any existing graphics card that supports DirectDraw/DirectVideo (which means pretty much any graphics card made since 1995). STB has sold it as well as it's predecessor TV PCI and various other tuner products (the combo graphics card/TV Tuner used in Gateway's original Destination PCs) for many years. The 3500TV is just applying this same product incorporated onto the graphics card. This type of product was something STB had worked on before, in fact using the Nvidia Riva family of accellerators and nearly had a large win at Sony with it back in the Riva 128 days but lost that design win to one of ATI's All-In-Wonder products. Desktop TV is a multiple award winning product that has been shipping well before any of the Voodoo 3 products. It's just now under the 3dfx name as the merger is now complete.
