ACT Manufacturing, Inc. Announces Two Vice Presidential Appointments

HUDSON, Mass., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ACT Manufacturing, Inc.
(Nasdaq: ACTM) announced two Vice Presidential appointments:
Gary Barnier as Vice President of Operations, and David F. Harrington
as Vice President of Worldwide Materials Management.

In his new position, Gary Barnier will be responsible for Cell
Operations, Logistics, and Engineering. John A. Pino, Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer of ACT Manufacturing, Inc., remarked,
"Gary Barnier has been with the company since May of 1990, and has
consistently achieved business objectives while demonstrating the
leadership skills necessary to take the organization to a world class
level."

David F. Harrington, in his new function, will be focusing on
strategically integrating ACT's world wide material management teams,
in Hudson, Mass., Atlanta, Ga., and in Ireland. According to
John A. Pino, "David F. Harrington's promotion is part of the
continuing effort to more closely align the company's strategic
material management initiatives with long term business objectives."
He joined ACT in 1997 as Director of Materials Management, and is a
member of NAPM, the National Association of Purchasing Management.

John A. Pino further commented, "These promotions reflect our efforts
to continue to grow our revenues by ensuring a top management team is
in place to best serve the global needs of our customers."
