Sam, Paul, all.

Good call Paul. Japan might be entering a virtuous cycle, similar to the one America is in, where rising asset prices lead to consumer and business spending, which in turn raises asset prices more. The "wealth effect" has been a very powerful stimulus in America and its opposite a very powerful deterrent to growth in Japan. Keep an eye on Japan's stock market. It's forecasts of the future may become self-fulfilling. After nearly a decade of recession in Japan, the pent-up demand must be enormous.
