Seems to me that JLA advocated AGAINST using violence in that post. He states his frustration that Daniel CANNOT be convinced of his position unless the information was beaten into his skull, a physically impossible act. (Not to mention that it was said in jest.)

Thus JLA's conclusion that it is IMPOSSIBLE to convince Daniel.
