Company Press Release

Analysts Sue Billat of Robertson
Stephens, Charles Boucher of DLJ to
Discuss Semiconductor Industry Stocks
on Today's Informed Investors Radio
Show

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 1999--After a
painful three-year slide, are the semiconductor chip and equipment stocks
finally ready to roll again? Or is the recent uptick liar's poker?

Semiconductor stocks and more will be examined today on Informed
Investors Forum's weekly radio program, airing from 2-3 p.m. Eastern
time (11 a.m.-noon PDT). The show is carried live on the Internet via the Realplayer on your PC. To tune in, visit
www.informedinvestors.com, and click the link. The show is also archived and retrievable for 90 days.

According to the Semiconductor Industry Association, sales worldwide may rise more than 12 percent in 1999, led
by sales of memory chips and specialized chips. PC shipments are expected to rise more than 20 percent in the
second quarter of 1999 from a year earlier. Fast-growing networking, Internet and communications companies are
fueling the industry's growth as well.

In the first half-hour, the guest is Charles Boucher, semiconductor analyst at Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette in San
Francisco. Boucher will give his current overview of the chip stocks. Among the companies Boucher covers are:
Altera (Nasdaq:ALTR - news), Broadcom (Nasdaq:BRCM - news), 3Dfx (Nasdaq:TDFX - news), Conexant
Systems (Nasdaq:CNXT - news), National Semiconductor (Nyse:NSM - news), PMC Sierra (Nasdaq:PMCS -
news) and Xilinx (Nasdaq:XLNX - news).

Sue Billat will be on the second half hour and offer insight into the rousing recovery in semiconductor equipment
stocks and whether bellwether Applied Materials (Nasdaq:AMAT - news) can lead the semi cap stocks out of their
three-year slump.

One of the leading analysts in the sector, Billat's coverage at BancBoston Robertson Stephens includes: Novellus
(Nasdaq:NVLS - news), Lam Research (Nasdaq:LRCX - news), Advanced Energy (Nasdaq:AEIS - news),
Kulicke & Soffa (Nasdaq:KLIC - news) and PRI Automation (Nasdaq:PRIA - news). A recent issue of Red
Herring magazine called Billat one of the ''foremost stock analysts of the arcane semiconductor capital-equipment
industry.''

Informed Investors will be hosting its Fourth Annual Semiconductor Stocks Forum on Saturday, July 10 in Palo
Alto. Boucher and Theodore O'Neill, semiconductor capital equipment analyst at Needham & Co., are the keynote
speakers. The presenting companies will be announced shortly. For details, go to www.informedinvestors.com.

Joseph,

For the most part, I'd look at BRKS as not being a competitor of PRIA.

... though they are trying to get into parts of each other's turf.
