Steeny

We are in full agreement. I am just watching short term strength and weakness signals for now as well as expected trading ranges.

Back on 5/7/96 AOL closed at $70/share (pre-split). Th following day there were concerns raised about AOL's "churn rate" and some accounting practices. AOL started to decline in price for the next 6 months and bottomed out at 22 5/8 on 10/14/96. For the next month and a half the price did not move above $29/ share. In the meantime, more concerns were being raised about "connectivity", busy signals" etc. The price did not start going up (very slowly) until late 12/96. AOL did not hit their high of $70 (from 5/7/96) until 7/11/97 (over 14 months later!) Then AOL continued on higher (at a gradual rate) until their next snag in 7/15/98 and continued to drop 50% from $140-$70 (in 9/98 and 10/98) then it was up from there again.

So, if history is any indication, AOL will hit new highs between 11/99 and 6/00. Keep the faith. The shorts were out in force during all those declines and they will be around now.

Go AOL!
