I just looked at that chart and the red is about to cross the blue. Do you suggest waiting for a cross say of 1/8th of an inch before you buy?

Do you know that there are several members of XAU also on S&P 500?
Do you have any idea of number of people invested in index funds?
48 may be near impossible with-out heavy S&P fall.
Likewise, XAU could well fall with gold moving up hard and many gold issues up due to S&P exposure of XAU heavy weights.

Tom,

Don't hang on to your thesis too long. We probably won't see 48 anytime soon but a spike down to get in would be a nice "exhausting" thing. The low in gold stocks could have ended back a 48, it appears, months ago. Nothing in history would indicate that the bullion wouldn't bottom later than the XAU...
