I'm beginning to suspect that AG wanted a new tool.

Should he choose to do another preemptive strike, or roll back just one easing too many, he can easily signal that action to the market now. Usually the bond ghouls like to anticipate his next move; and they almost always guess wrong.

Now Greenspan has tested the bias announcement. It's got their attention. I wouldn't be surprised to see it used again on Jun 30th.

Jobless Claims weekly actual is 323,000; estimate was 307,000; previous figure was 309,000 .

Where are the bond ghouls? They normally cheer a few extra hard working Americans being relegated to the soup line?
