Many people still dial-up and pay ISP charges by the minute. Who? In the US this could be considered an IQ test. There's no reason to pay more the $15 or $20 for a connection. I don't use this because I need a connection suitable for a network, but this is a perfectly good freebie connection: netzero.net If you have a large monitor the ad banner is tiny and easy to place out of the way.

It does ask first, but because I am on a T1, it is seemless. I click on OK, and it is done. You can also set the feature off.
