To Candace Hawthorne: Excellent article. Great reading material. Many Thanks. In short, it looks like 3COM has a great chance in this new world communication environment. Great technologies, right place, great timing, super products, and a cash cow... Now, the next question, "Can they do it alone or will they merge????. I don't believe EricB. can take the company to the next level..ie. from 200 million customers to billions of customers. Lucent can make it happen. As you know, Lucent on the hunt for new techonolgies and niches and need more cash flow... Later.. Al.... "3COM manufactures the things that make communications work"
