You mentioned earlier that you use an Access database along with your StockScanner program. Are you maintaining a database yourself or is it simply to keep a short history for the program to work, allowing Qfeed to do the maintenance of the data.

Another question, How are you storing your data? Separate Time series: Weekly, Daily, 1 Minute, Tick etc.. or by the minute or tick?

I'm asking all these questions because I'm developing my first trading system and any little bit of "know how" will help me greatly.

I also will be using VB and Excel for the analysis.
I'm at the design stag of my trading program using the Qfeed data.
It's nice to have someone else who's doing the same, but further along. Although I have limited VB and VC++ knowledge this program will get done. I have a very dedicated mind.
