ARMHY shareholders: there are a number of posts addressing the possible reasons for today's run up on the Motley Fool ARMHY board
Summary: ABN(ARMHY's house broker in London) set a 3 year price target at 50 sterling(now at 6+); broker predicted ARM could have a spot in FTSE 100 index by end of 1999; cited announcement by British Telecom/other wireless service providers and cell phone manufacturers(inc. Ericson, et. al.) that agree to a single international technical standard to allow the next generation of mobile phones to be used round the world...ARM's RISC chip-which many now see as the industry standard-is used in many of the new generation mobile phones... Also cited was SIA outlook for global semiconductor sales, going into a 3 year up cycle

Regards
James
