Btw George, Mainland China just Lowered interest rates by 1 full percent yesterday. UK just dropped rates again today.

Big Bull:

I bought a Japan fund (WPJGX) about two weeks ago. Was up 12% BEFORE yesterday's big jump in the Nikkei. My only regret is that I did not buy a heck of a lot more.

Japan's Koa Oil To Shut Osaka Refinery For Turnaround Mon

TOKYO -- Japan's Koa Oil Co. (J.KOA or 5006), 50%-owned subsidiary of Caltex Corp., plans to shut its Osaka refinery for master maintenance turnaround from Monday, a company official told Dow Jones Newswires Thursday.

The refinery will shut for about 49 days, due to resume operations on July 30, he said.
