<let me add the following to the list of swing-trading tools> Thomas, let me extend a hearty THANKS from the thread, for sharing that valuable post of swing-trading information sources. Some of those are new to me, I'll look forward to checking them out. A few comments, observations, and questions - referenced to your paragraphs: a)Alexander Elder ("The Russian") has produced an all-time classic book ("Trading for a Living"), no doubt. It will stand the test of time with traders - it's really three books in one. One of the best treatments available of trading psychology, trading indicators, and the rationale behind putting together a trading system. Did you know that he sometimes trades with the Pristine Capital daytrading group in NY, he is sort of a "friend of the firm", I hear. b) I've been to hardrightedge.com a few times, but haven't really "discovered" what is the most useful there yet, I'm sure it's there -- would you care to educate the uninformed? I'm always looking for new sources of info/education. c) I've never heard of financialpicks.com... same question about them. d) Yes, Indigo offers some of the best automated trading systems available... rated highly by "Club 3000", etc. I believe it was their proprietary swing-trading system for stocks a couple of years ago, and it looked terrific (I never tried it). Any more info, experience, or system performance statistics to share? Might be great for auto-trading the IRA. e) Don't know about zeus-holdings... will check their website. Beyond the info available there, and comments/insights/perspective to share? f) I attended one of those 3-day training events in Las Vegas 3 or 4 years ago, with Larry Williams, Jake Bernstein, Nick Van Nice, the Omega people, etc. etc. I took some of Nick's fax's for a while - he's really a Futures trader at heart. I heard he branched out into stocks... are those videos really worthwhile? I'm open-minded about picking up a new trick or two, he's certainly a thoughtful and systematic trader. His big rant is, TRADE SMALLER - BUILD YOUR EQUITY CURVE!!! More power to him, he understands what's important. As a side-note, when I attended the 3-day trading seminar in Las Vegas [no affiliation], all of the lecturers (who had spent the weekend teaching us trade setups/entries/exits/money mgmt/etc.) put their theories to work LIVE, on Monday morning trading the S&P Futures and the Bond Futures on a big-screen. I called in Larry's William's Bond Trade, and Jake Bernstein's S&P Future trade, and paid for the seminar five times! It was a kick, there were 250-300 other traders there doing the same thing. At the end of the day, they had to peel everyone off the ceiling, we were having so much fun. A pleasant memory. I've heard they've often had some pretty bad live days too, where everyone there (including the instructor) is stopped out for a loss...
