From $1.50 EPS 2000-to-$4.50 EPS 2002 is not cyclical - it's flat out growth - of the emerging variety! (eom)

"CYMI will get a PE way under 20 at peak earnings. Maybe lower."

Intels' present PE is 27 From its IPO to present day it has compounded annually at 38%. This has brought Intel from (split-adjusted) 87 cents
in 1986 to 55 in 1999.

Cymer, split adjusted is tracking intels progress almost exactly.
Split-adjusted at 7.50 in 1996, a 38% annual compound brings a price of $27.20 in 1999 and $37.50 in 2000. Its product demand is just beginning to evolve. At 38% compounded annual growth, from the $27.20
benchmark of 1999, Cymer would have a value of $493 p/share by 2009.
AND a P/E of 27. Obviously the semi-cycle is be ignored here, I'm just comparing from a pure chart perspective.

Just wanted to put a different spin on things. :)
