Kash,

Either AMD delivers on the K7 or they don't. We will start finding out the answer to that question shortly. Why worry about it?

Kash,

"Lack of K6-3's. Yes it is very worrying. In addition folks like GTW are not even offering the K6III. Suggests one to wonder if they can even yield them."

I am surprised! What were you expecting out of K6-3s? Intel with its mighty marketing machine is having a problem positioning PIII vs. Celeron. Unless the segments are seperated by MHz (MHz sells) or by a clear performance difference that a customer could see, selling something like a K6-3 would be tough.

Chuck

P.S.: IMHO, Compaq build to order K6-3s and NEC/Fujitsu K6-3 boxes should help AMD easily meet or beat management guidance

kash - <4. 0.18 micron status - Intel has started production - where is AMD. Some 0.18 parts should have dribbled out by end of this quarter.>

kash, I believe they would be early (by their own estimates)if .18 was actually shipping. Earliest guess I have for .18 parts out of AMD is end of Q3 / Q4. Based on AMD statements, press reports, and rumor mill.
