El: Last I heard from victor was on the LPGL thread, I think. To be honest, this thread remains far and away the best thing related to KompaK. I don't find the negativity as distressing as the endless navel gazing. I have to say that the comments you and others have made here regarding the lack of information from Houston are extremely disturbing -- given the company's recent history and the comments Rosen made in April. Compaq has a serious credibility problem and one way to address that is to be a bit more open -- something beyond cardigans in the corner office. It's been argued here that the best thing now for them is to keep those loose lips shut and get the house in order. But it seems to me the time has come to communicate. Let's face it, if the t rate continues to rise, this market is gonna get savaged, and it is the dogs who are gonna suffer the most. IBM may fall more points than CPQ, but it is gonna come back faster and harder. (By the way, that's another reason to reconsider your argument regarding LSI or other strong stox.) CPQ needs to communicate with all of its stakeholders (including employes and shareholders) so people begin to have information they need to make fundamental decisions. M2

You guys are a little hard on the optimists of the group. After all, it doesn't mater what we say the stock will go where it is going. Some of us feel better thinking things will be better - crazy as that seems. Other vent. Others sell. etc Any of the reactions are OK but try to be understanding of how others react. Victor provided a lot of information in providing the optimist view point. I hope he comes back.
