Myth, You have the SIA making their annual totally wrong forecast and a brainiac firm like Gruntal suckering in on it and a brain dead analyst at a larger firm putting out buy recommendations for no special reason. Folks really believe that everyone is leaving the DRAM business except for Micron, Samsung and Hyundai. So far, that is really new news to NEC, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Hitachi and Toshiba. The only major firm to leave the business is TXN, and they sold their crappy fabs to MU with a promise to keep them running. No capacity leaving the industry in that one.

Intel made a splash today with the Coppermine chips. BFD. That still begs the question of who is going to pay a high price for mpcs this co. makes? Not the computer makers, as they are hurting puppies. And Intel doesn't believe it, hence their rush to diversify out of the business.

In all, one of the great put buying opportunities ahead of a huge loss by MU and what I think will be a lousy quarter for Intel.
