Ira,
Still hanging with the Pig. I've bought all except one batch of shares cheap. So I'm looking for a double, or triple by 2001 at the latest.

Ira,

Just curious. I am long about 6K shares of ORCL since late '96 so don't take my question wrong, but............they have experienced many of the same problems that CPQ has demonstrated since the time I have owned them...1st, accounting irregularities, somewhat akin to the famous "channel stuffing" fiascos. A couple of qtrly earnings misses, LE letting his mouth overload his butt a couple of times, LE taking his eye off the ball delaying their focus into the internet due to internal politics, etc. etc. Yet, you seem very down on CPQ and "love" ORCL.

I do think ORCL is finally focused company-wide in the same direction, their strategy is excellent and they are apparently getting their internal systems/affairs in order, but they have certainly gone around their elbow to get to their a** to do it.

I'm still hanging in there, and will until the next screw-up. (And I believe this qtr. will be weak.)
