Does anyone here follow CMGI and wish to comment on the CMGI conference call? CMGI was already in the Gorilla and Kings portfolio when I found this thread, so curious re the basis for its inclusion (not sure what kind of a creature it is) i.e. on what criteria it is a King/Prince? Chaz too

All of us who watch Gorillas and Kings in Internet-related businesses will want to stay in touch with a new web site which is supposed to be launched today. (I haven't tried it yet.) The web site will allow us to watch the growth of the Internet economy.

internetindicators.com

The initial data is the result of a University of Texas study sponsored by Cisco. It measures the Net economy in terms of revenue and number of jobs created, focusing on four main business sectors: Internet Infrastructure (the largest as of now), Internet Applications, Internet Commerce, and Internet Intermediaries. Data will be posted quarterly, allowing us to track the rate of growth.

So far, the Net economy is way ahead of where the "experts" thought it would be by now. There are two articles about the study in today's USA Today.
