In my informal observation (very informal, I don't watch the prices much at all), it seems like the drive prices are remaining fairly constant, while the capacity increases. But it's impressive when a friend buys a 19 GB drive for $200. That's a lot of MPEG and JPEG capacity, right Fred?

. . . as I told him, there is so much room on that drive he could move into it and get rid of his apartment!

btw, we got a new virus at the office today and MIS has taken down our e-mail system for an indefinite period. I gave BillyG the details earlier, but I can no longer access them, because the helpful MIS guys shut down my computer while I was at lunch and I don't have the warning e-mails anymore. Don't open any Zipped files you get unless you are sure what they are, it's kind of like Melissa in that the e-mails are generated automatically, but it apparently destroys files when you open the enclosure. MIS has never been this freaked out about a virus before.
