Bear Stearns was selling size all afternoon long until about an hour before the close. Lots of blocks went off and buyers were solid at 23, repeatedly absorbing daytrader panic selling when BEST faked and came back on the ask. When BEST really did lift, the stock shot to 25 like a rocket before sliding back to the lows. Whole market lacks committment, so its not surprising DRIV closed near the low. Sure looked to me like someone was taking advantage of the confusion ahead of tomorrow's numbers by moving the stock down almost 3/4 of a point right before the close to pick up some cheap shares. There's alot of money on the sidelines right now, though, and at these prices some will find its way into DRIV once everyone comes to their senses and realizes the sky isn't really falling if the Fed raises 25 basis points.
