Thanks Sean. I knew that was true with IDE, but I thought I had heard from an authoritative source to be wary with SCSI as well. And I gather that you agree that since bandwidth won't be an issue, I need not concern myself with the mylex ultra / NCR fast issue.

Yeah, don't know why SCSI boots are so elusive with non Adaptec boards. Ah well, I'm using my DVD drive as the bootable CD for that purpose, since DVD SCSI drives are still kinda spendy.

Hang on blue NT bootup screen

Sean, Spots, Dan, and all,

I made the mistake of flash updating my bios before doing a freash drive image of my main boot partition. No huge deal, but I'd sure like to be able to get beyond the blue NT bootup screen. and copy over some of those configurations. No problems on my alternate NT partition, but on the main one, it will just stop at that screen--no BSOD's, just a hang.

Reflashing back to the old bios (or indeed any of the Bh6 bios settings) didn't help.

Any thoughts most appreicated, and I would certainly prodvide any add'l details which might help.

Request for rebate forms: Maxell blank CD-R 10 packs?

My local office depot has a boatload of these at $10 each on closeout. The neat thing is that they're eligible for a $20 rebate thorugh June 30. I don't have any more coupons, though, and neither does office depot. I was wondering if Sean or any other CD-R folks have some extras lying around? I'd be most grateful.
