OT MD, The problem is that he is positive even if the company does not do well as expected--while Maffei of MSFT sometimes paints a gloom and doom forward looking scenario (being conservative). They like upside surprises not downside ones. Investors love conservative outlooks from companies---and end up trusting them also. MSFT excels in this regard and with their conservative accounting which is well known.
