There could be tax issues, if I'm not mistaken. Old-timers, correct me here. But I think they did this with LCOS some time ago and it was a bit of a headache. It depends upon whether they're setting aside shares for CMGI shareholders to buy. That scheme is just an allocation and there's no tax implication. If they are distributing shares as dividends, then I imagine it's similar to a mutual fund (i.e. even if you retain them without selling the shares, the IRS treats that as a taxable distribution...)

Regardless, I imagine the market will love this.
