Think ahead to what you want in model setup. Then Start with the biggies like a quote page click on the labels change it to what you want to see. Change font and colors just like you want them. Auto size those things that can be. When a screen is filled and looks like what you need, open a new item from file menu. Say a chart, it opens up on top, click and drag the chart, right or down as far as you can then adjust it so it by dragging until you have it positioned. open next item, and so on. Try to use the smallest pixcles, you can, like 1024x768 size. On things like time and sales, how many back do you need to see? How many stocks will you follow? This can set sizes of each item. So just jump in and start building it. Be sure to save workspace.

Of course you might get a headstart by trying some of the workspaces that others have posted to the Qcharts onelist that you can join from the Qcharts site. This is an unoffical, unmoderated list not run by Qcharts. Like SI, quality or topic of post can vary, but that is normal. Those wanting free information may see/read something that doesn't apply to them. But the free flow of information is like that.
