For all you "I want to dump CMGI" people, you don't understand its business. CMGI can post a $2/share net income if it wants to. The earning number needs to be looked from a bigger picture: Last quarter, CMGI sold 55M internet stocks and therefore reported .14 earning. This quarter, CMGI only sold 1.3M stocks, with a net loss of (.30). If CMGI really wants to make the wall-street estimate, they could do so just by selling 2 or 3M more internet stocks. Easy! But, CMGI choosed not to do it. Why? Because it knew the internet sector is close to its bottom and it would be foolish to do any significant selling. CMGI executives understand these, Wall Street pros understand this, everyone who knows CMGI's business understand this, only those traders who probably could not spell out CMGI's full name do not understand this. Investing in CMGI is for the future of the internet, not for a one quarter earning number.
