This was on Vodooxtreme: "I just got off the phone with PAUL CROSSLEY, the PR Manager at S3, Inc. who said the following: The register has probably better sources than he does, as he is not aware of such an acquisition/takeover. If you have been following the news in the past year, you must have noticed that is has been rumored that S3 was acquired by AMD, Intel and many others. All rumors - nothing more." And this is from Maximum PC: 3dfx officials said the company has no plans to S3, a competing graphics chip maker. "It's an unsubstantiated rumor," a 3dfx official told Maximum PC.
