<To achieve the maximum PR, would 25th/Friday fit? >
Im leaving for the dinner in a half an hour.
IMHO Friday does not fit as well as Tuesday for maximizing PR. Then 29th may be the best. A bunch say 28th. Monday is not much worse than Tuesday. Announcements, Monday have to fight with weekend news events for impact.

Companies tend to really synchronize on the last shipping day of the month. In this case, it is Wednesday June 30. Some companies ship more than half their monthly sales in the last five days. In some cases an accurate estimate of the months activities first begins to
materialize around the 25th.

I am sure in a highly professional company like Intel the shipments are nearly equal for all twenty three shipping days. However, I would guess for a envelope pushing company like AMD the end of the month bulge is more of a reality. Hence the 25 is a good day to make a carefully worded disclosure about conditions within the company.
