Dudley,

Thank you for agreeing with me, but "I" did not term the issues "current and critical".

What I said to George Bigelow was, "Y'know George, there are really a number of separate yet interrelated issues here..."

I then ruminated a bit and concluded by saying, "So, it comes down to whether or not one has faith in the ability of management to steer the firm through this crisis. IMO, one either bets or one folds, but there's no point in bitching about the hand."

I personally do not believe that Murphy and crew are either attempting to or are succeeding in manipulating or deceiving anyone. They are playing with a hand in a game in which the rules are either being changed or are unclear and they are trying to play the hand as well as they can. Prudence obviously dictates that they keep their hand as hidden as possible, especially since the public cannot currently fully participate in the outcome.

Murphy is not, IMO, going for the fences. He is simply trying to keep the ball in play while the umpire takes his/her time explaining what the rules of the game are, much less how to win.
