Re: 'The Guy With the Bag On His Head'

Hi BigBull,
The previous one was an un-named "Saudi oil official".

This one is "a senior Gulf official who is familiar with Saudi government policy"
---- they don't even say he's a Saudi!
Or what sort of 'official' he is!

It could be the Postmaster of Iraq.

Or it could be an elderly gentleman in New Jersey who used to be a VP at Gulf Oil and reads the 'Riyadh Times'.

Reuters puzzles me with this undisclosed source stuff. Surely this is not leaked secret Saudi policy. This is more or less a reiteration of policy the Saudi's have stated previously thru their Oil Ministry.
Still, If Reuters reports something was said, I want to know who said it unless there's a reason that can't be revealed. Who the source is Matters. I can understand that sometimes a source wouldn't want to be identified, but I can't see any such reason here. ---Maybe the reporter just can't spell the names?

Darned poor reporting, imho.
----------------------------------------------
btw, the 4th qrtr call from the Iraqi Postmaster was for "...the top end of the $18-$20 range" which leaves a few days yet to reach the bottom of the range at $18Brent by "early June." (Letting them have till half-way thru for 'early' <G>.) I don't think they'll make it that soon, but Oil does look strong.

Where are those Missing Barrels??? Surely they'll pop up any day now and drive down the price of oil. <G>

regards,
diana
