Antic Dote: I just spoke to my cousin's son who is a genuine computer geek. (Bay Area) His card reads: "The Computer Guy". An expert on Mac systems. He hardly knew anything about streaming video (he knew some things, for sure) and had a wonderful blank look on his face when I mentioned Ampex. Young guy, in his 20s, well educated. Conclusion: This generation has never heard of Ampex. View: My tendency is to see this optimistically. It explains the lack of umph in the stock, for one. It alows for hope for the future, if the PR story is played right. It puts a tremendous responsibility on the PR story.
