mb -this has been going on for some time.if the actual data was reported most of the time it would have caused lots of grief.oth-if the market was ready to go down it would do it regardless of the funny business.what is also coincidence is that we never get 2 bad pieces of data in a row.always lots of time between bad data points.

WSJ has a piece written by Michael Ledeen in the editorial section detailing how professional civil servants " have been silenced or coerced into lying about matters that directly affected national security." If this is true and the administration is willing to "substitute facts with politically expedient information" concerning national security matters, what would be the big deal with fudging a few economic numbers.
