What happened to the guy that started the thread? I remember he was a bit put out in the beginning there. I hope he's OK now. He seemed like a good guy.

Of course I have a calculator. It is RPN too, I don't need no stinking = key.

However, what is the density of a Ribeye and what is the diameter of your steak?

Weight = density x volume & I just don't know enough to calculate the weight.

However, I BBQ by eye & feel and I like my steaks rare. Throw it down, wait for the blood to start coming out the top, flip it over and sear the other side, and eat it.
