Lake of the Ozarks was closer to the neck of woods where I used to live. It is nice there if you can stand the traffic (on or off the lake). <ng>

When I want to go to a lake I tend to go to the less developed ones. Been down to Bull Shoals this year and that was very nice.

I'm a lot closer to several lakes in the southern part of the state now. Last time I went out -- I saw so many folks with all these fancy boats -- heck I can rent a decent boat for fishing for $40 or so buy the fuel and have a great day without all the clean-up, storage fees, maintenance -- you name it. To be worth it to own one I'd have to go to one of the lakes very regularly.

Now I work with guys that have spoiled my fishing a few times down on the white river -- by running water through the dam. Maybe next time I do down there I can time it a little better. ;-)
