Winston,

You make excellent arguments. Your posts are great and insightful. I am not sold on the long term prospect for AMZN but feel strongly in upward movement this fall selling season. I will take the time to post my reasoning on this over the weekend. You have sone all the work.

In the meantime, being long AMZN makes a lot of sense now. It clearly did last year but I did not see it. I will be buying more AMZN before fall. My target is 2K share going into fall. I am not anywhere near that yet. I have been worrying about AOL.

By the way, I am not perceiving BKS as the main compeitors to AMZN. That will be the gist of the of my reasoning over the weekend.

Glenn

>>AMZN remains my #1 position and my #1 pick for the rest of the year. <<
Winston, a couple of things. Why are you comparing Amzn with Bks or BNBN?? Like Bezos said, "We're not about books". If Bezos was just about books you could buy his stock today, for about the same price as you'd pay for uBid.
If Amzn remains your #1 pick, please tell us what average cost is? Adjusting for splits of course.
It's easy for an Amzn investor that got in @ 10 presplit, to say Amzn is my #1 pick, but not so easy to tell that to the poor late comer, like yourself, that paid about ??.
It appears that you joined SI only this month. Is that when you also bought your first share of Amazon.com??
