MMs and Brokers would rather
nickel and dime the mullets in a slow burn than to scare em all
off at one time.

Jim, I was thinking the same thing watching the action over the last few days.

I just got hold of the breakdown of the WEBS Australia portfolio. I am surprised that they have holdings in around 40 stocks only. As the portfolio is worth $US52 million they could afford to have more surely. Some of their positions are as small as $US100-200k but for example in the retail sector they only have Coles-Myer ($US2 million worth) and no Woolworths even. In Telecoms they have $US4.7 million of Telstra but no C&W Optus. Optus is a $A13billion company..... I thought it would be much more spread over the All Ordinaries Index. Maybe the MSCI index has fewer stocks?
