Elmer,

All the SPEC numbers given were relative.

Linelly Gwennap said he was going to calculate them as absolute numbers. Maybe he will post the numbers over on the MDR site.

Elmer - RE: "Don't just tell us x% faster, how about some numbers?"

Intel's spec numbers are available at the spec website. If you want rough numbers, add the proper percentage to them.

Elmer - Re: "everyone is joyous about the faster SpecInt95 and SpecFP95 but nobody has posted any numbers. How about posting SpecInt95 & SpecFP95 numbers and configurations? Don't just tell us x% faster, how about some numbers?"

Maybe Dirk only provided relative (%) values - and no absolute numbers.

Since RDM and SCUMbria both reported "%" differences, this seems plausible.

Well, according to SCUMbria, the 600 MHz K7 will ship in volume by the end of this month.

Make that "BIG" volume !

By July, there should be TONS of data available from all the millions of early customers.

<how about some numbers>

You will have to wait for numbers. % of Xeon for now is all he
offers. Only 512k cache at that.
