Hello Bill, The "Stop Order" capabilities can be extremely important capabilities. I will attempt to summarize their operational functionality, and their limitations, below. CyBerBroker does accept, through the CyBerTrader and CyBerT platforms, traditional, market held (meaning orders held on the order book of the specialist in a particular security on the floor of an exchange) Stop orders for securities listed on the New York and American exchanges. Also, Good Till Cancelled (GTC) orders are accepted for securities on these exchanges. Adding this capability to CyBerX is presently in the works. Currently the NASDAQ Stock Market is unable to accept either Stop or GTC orders. This situation was one of the core reasons behind the development of the software solutions present within CyBerTrader, CyBerX, and CyBerT. The Stop-Loss features present within the software platforms available to CyBerBroker customers are powerful tools. It is important to note here that these features are FUNCTIONS OF THE SOFTWARE PLATFORM ONLY, AND DO NOT REPRESENT ANY TYPE OF AN INTRUCTION OR ORDER THAT MAY BE FORWARDED BY CYBERBROKER TO THE MARKET ON YOUR BEHALF. Any time the Stop-Loss or Conditional Order functions are used they are subject to the same potentials for failure present with any use of the software, PLUS there are additional points of failure relevant only to these particular functions that could adversely affect their operation (bad ticks being reported by the markets are one possible cause). With all this being said let me add that these functions have been highly successful since their release. With proper care and discretion these tools may offer a wide array of utility for our customers. Therefore, fully understanding these features by reading the User's Manual, and also availing of the resources present with the Trader Support people are highly recommended before attempting to employ these features. I hope that this has helped to answer the questions of both you and others on the thread. Let me know if I may expand on any topics covered here. Sincerely, Mark K. Stryker CEO CyBerBroker, Inc.
