Excellent post, Doug.

I have watched premarket games played by market makers for the last six months. A good indication that they are playing games is when you see a market maker post a bid that is 2-10 points above the next higher bid price (or an ask price 2-10+ points lower than the next lower ask price). The purpose of these posts would be to cause the inside bid or ask price for the stock to change, fooling some investors into jumping in the 'hot' stock.

Thanks for contributing.

P.S. I'm back from New York. I had a very enjoyable trip... Beautiful weather too. I'll try to finish catching up on my reading and update the THREAD SUMMARY this evening.
