I read a book about the beginnings of Data General. The founders were required by the Venture Capitalists to sell at least $1000,000
of stock at a certain date after IPO. The VCs said that this was to keep the principals from getting too conservative. If each decision was affected by if I blow this I'm going to have to move in with my parents again judgement, it would lead to timid leadership.
