Nobody got shafted, Hector. This stock is one of the most volatile around, and this company one of the most interesting, and there are two approaches: either buy and hold, because over a reasonable time frame, say six months to a year, it triples, quadruples, or more...or play the swings and the volatility by trading it, which can be tough but profitable. You have to be able to stomach the roller coaster.

Ref: "Shafted"? you seem to be rather hyperexcitable. CMGI has done well by me this year between the stock and options.

Perhaps you need to ask yourself what is your cost basis and how long have you have had CMGI. Just about anyone who was in this stock Jan 99 or earlier has nothing to be hyper about. Even given the recent falls most people have gains in CMGI this year that blast most stocks and averages out of the water. Shares that I bought as recently as Dec 98 have a cost basis of $30. Thus, I fail to see your point.

I wrote a post last night that spoke to the rag dolls blowing in the wind. "Investors" that have no anchor or understanding of what they own and why. Are you one of those kind of investors? Do you understand what Beta is?

<GEEEEEEZE!!!!!!

You all got shafted and are living in denial>

I bought at 55 1/2 (adjusted) at the end of January and am still sitting on a good profit.

Everyone should relax, hold the stock long term, get on with our lives and perhaps look at the share price in a years time.

This is a volatile stock, that is part of the fun.

Enjoy the weekend
