I guess you could not figure out when and why YHOO, AOL, CMGI, and other net stocks are going to go down 40% or more by yourself so you beg others to help with a $3000 award. Now you sound you know something. I really get confused.

I agree I think the margin call factor is in major play now--it is my amateurs understanding that while brokerages can hesitate on calling in margin at 50% line, the fact is at 70% line they by law must call--look I am a "softie",I don't like to think of people getting calls and not being able to cover--but that is the dangerous game they played--but also weren't a number of these stocks not marginable for some time, such as AMZN?I hadn't been keeping track as not only don't I ever margin,I also keep a significant amount of cash on hand just in case.
Am 75% cash now,but as my money in is on the buy-side,would rather be 100%.
I am thinking these high flyers our inevitably heading back to their 200dma--which is still a ways down--looking now to buy puts.Max
