I just got an Email on mytrack, and installed it. It gives you streaming quotes and realtime quotes on all stocks entered. I have not explored it further. it looks good so far, and it is free. The link is:

To LindyBill: Welcome. This is my approach too - concentrate on telecom with special emphasis on wireless and fiber. Hence the Q, UNPH, and LOR. The three primary explosive growth areas IMO. Note: LOR is a special buying opportunity now IMO.

Have used Gilder's letter as a major source of info, analysis and thought. And the writing ain't dull.

Only caution is that IMO is well ahead of the curve on investing. You may have a wait for his ideas to be accepted in the investing community especially. He is also much better at predicting major trends than as a guru on individual companies for investment.

You need to make up your own mind on his "ascendent technologies" and leaders therein.

But as a G&W guy, you think for yourself anyway so that's easy.

In sum, strongly recommend as a resource to use with others such as this thread and SI company threads such as the Q on wireless.

Chaz too

LindyBill

I signed up for GTR yesterday for the same reasons that you described.

1 I loved his old letters (he has 2 online).

2 I feel like I owe both GG's (George Gilder and Gorilla game) for my good luck in QCOM.

3 I want to profit from the telecom revolution. I missed most of the computer revolution profits.

4 He likes a lot of Semiconductor stocks, which you like to avoid. Most of them do have proprietary process or intellectual property.

5 He has about 30 ideas we only need about three.

BTW thanks for all your great posts,

Larry

To All: I just received approval from Jill to rewrite the G&K thread header so I can include links that will make it easier to use. I plan to provide links to:

G&K definitions
G&K Index
W&W Index

I think many of you would like a "Shiny Pebbles portfolio" to track sub 1B market cap stocks. If one of you would volunteer to set one up (I'll be happy to walk you through the mechanics), I would like to include the link. The first volunteer becomes the Chartmeister.

If you have any other ideas for links to the header, speak up.

Frank

Chaz2, here's your chance - you could load up the SP Port with emerging telecom plays <g>.
