E*Offering Seduces Williams - 11:35 AM EST - TK
Internet analyst, Andrea Williams will leave Volpe Brown for E*Offering. She's one of the best in the business and is probably being well compensated through stock options at the new E*Trade affiliated start-up investment bank.

Taking a cue from the industry she covers, Internet analyst Andrea Williams today left brick-and-mortar brokerage Volpe Brown Whelan and joined an online banking firm. Williams jumped ship to E*Offering, the investment bank arm of online brokerage E*Trade. As managing director, Williams will continue to serve as an Internet analyst and follow such stocks as America Online and Amazon, she said. Williams, who previously served as managing director at Volpe, said her entrepreneurial streak prompted her to make the move to E*Offering. She added that the Internet has empowered individual investors and smaller-scale institutional investors by allowing them to participate in initial public offerings and receive access to "high-quality research." - News.com
